Patch Notes – 0.16.5 (Sept. 23, 2020)

System

Updating the matchmaking process and the display of dropped items.

  • Players will now choose a character after matchmaking.
  • No longer able to select duplicate characters between teammates in Duo and Squad.
  • Players will be penalized for leaving matches after they’ve been found. Penalized players will receive a dodge penalty and will be unable to find a match for a bit.
  • At the moment, players will be unable to change weapons in the loading screen after choosing it during the character selection phase, but will be enabled at a later patch.
  • Enabled chat between teammates during character selection and the loading screen.
  • Name of dropped items have the color corresponding to their rarity.
  • If the item dropped on the ground is a material needed for your Saved Plan, the name of the item will have a yellow triangle.

Character

Spotlight – Hyunwoo

Hyunwoo has reigned at the top of the win rate list but has had, by far, the lowest kill count. He had raw strength, but Hyunwoo’s tactical play/macro game was..monotonous.
Instead of nerfing Hyunwoo’s passive and adjusting his items, we’d like to try to adjust both his normal attacks and skills to allow more aggressive and confrontational gameplay styles.

    • Dogfight stacks received when attacking 2 —> 4
    • Dogfight activation at 32/28/24 stacks —> 50 stacks (fixed)
  • Stomping Foot (Q)
    • Cooldown 11/10/9/8/7s —> 10/9/8/7/6s
  • Bluff (W)
    • Cooldown 28/26/24/22/20s —> 28/25/22/19/16s
    • Duration 3s → 2.5s
  • First Attack (E)
    • Cooldown 18/17/16/15/14s —> 14/13.5/13/12.5/12s
    • Hitbox range is no longer 0.5m bigger than the animation.
  • Haymaker (R)
    • Range 1.5 ~ 4.2m → 3 ~ 4.2m
    • Cooldown 100/90/80 → 70/65/60s

Fiora

The Graceful Fencer has no problem sticking to players, so she’ll take a small nerf to her mobility. We don’t want to destroy her early game, so we’re first lowering her team mode strength..

    • 2nd charge range 5m → 4m
    • Extra Damage Attack Power ratio 0.8 → 0.5

Hart

  • Damage dealt in Duo and Squad mode 100% → 95%

Hyejin

Hyejin’s fear doubled with the Bow weapon skill (Rain of Arrows) was a little too synergetic.

Isol

Isol’s early game needed some love, so we’ve touched his base stats a bit. Also adjusted the skills so Semtex Bomb (Q) can be used without Rebel Assault (W) more often.

  • Semtex Bomb (Q) cooldown 20/18/16/14/12s —> 18/16/14/12/10s
  • Camouflage (E)
    • Invisibility now starts right after skill activation rather than after the forward roll.

Jackie

  • Recovery effects received in Squad mode 100% → 105%

Li Dailin

Even after a slight decrease following the last patch, Li Dailin still has one of the highest pick rates. We’re looking at her early game through Spirited Kick (Q). An early weapon and three consecutive kicks can HURT.

    • Base Damage 24/48/72/96/120 → 20/40/60/80/100
    • Enhanced Damage 32/64/96/128/160 → 28/56/84/112/140
    • Base Damage ratio 0.6 → 0.5
    • Enhanced Damage ratio 0.8 → 0.7

Magnus

The duration of the movement speed reduction on Broken Bullet (Q) was way long compared to other skills. We’re also trying to lower Magnus’s CC abilities with the Bat weapon skill(Full Swing), especially in Squad mode.

Sissela

The Incurable Patient is a very good teammate.

  • Damage dealt in Duo and Squad mode 90% → 87%

Xiukai

Little more love for Solo Xiukai but making sure the Juggernaut Chef isn’t oppressive in team modes where he already shines.

  • Heavy Meal (W) cooldown 18/16/14/12/10s → 16/14/12/10/8s
  • Damage dealt in Duo mode 100% → 95%
  • Damage dealt in Squad mode 95% → 92%

Yuki

  • Damage dealt in Squad mode 100% → 95%

Zahir

  • Zahir – Throw weapon base attack speed 0.59 → 0.62
  • Damage dealt in Squad mode 93% → 95%
  • Bhargavastra (R) – Now grants vision at the location used.

Increased some melee weapon attack ranges to help smooth out movement and attacks. Also some other adjustments.

Armor

There’s synergy between HP and Defense, but there hasn’t been a lot of HP equipment. We’ve added HP to some items — mainly chest armor.
Balance between strengths and weaknesses is a very important element of the game, but it’s unhealthy for them to be too influential. We’ve downgraded or replaced normal attack damage reduction and skill damage reduction, which could all but nullify specific opponents.

Bug fixes

Thanks to everyone who reports these bugs, we couldn’t have done it without all your tenacious work!

  • Two players collecting the same collectible at the same time will no longer both receive the item.
  • No longer display abnormally short charging times when automatically replenishing charges.
  • Xiukai no longer receives twice the stacks of Juggernaut Chef after being revived after being downed.
  • Food made by Xiukai no longer loses the buff when dropped one by one.
  • Fixed the bug with assault rifle reload not sounding when reloaded by Isol.
  • Lowered the probability of bots tunneling on you in vs AI mode.
  • For the sake of skill clarity, changed the effect of Jackie from “Hemorage” to “Bleeding” and kept healing reduction as just “healing reduction” instead of “Bleeding”.
  • Tooltips are now correctly displayed in all locations.
  • Now correctly displays items that result in stacks of 2+ of said item being crafted. (Steel, Iron Sheet, etc.)
